fall leaf

Last Saturday

Last Saturday Molly and I went on an ATV trip to look at some gas wells on the next ridge from us. We learned a lot but I won't go into that right now. Instead, I'll just post some photos of highlights along with the way.

One well was at the end of a long road into a hollow. We met some turtles on the way.

Except for a few cabins and the wells, the area thousands of acres large is deep forest.

Molly photographing a rut in the road. We were documenting maintenance, or lack of it.

At the very first well we visited I was tromping through the high grass and came across a shed, a deer antler. Bucks shed their antlers usually some time between January and April and grow a new set a few months later.
